Country Village Bookstore is Ishpeming’s largest and only bookstore that sells new books. We are located off of U.S. Highway 41, in the Country Village, across the parking lot from Ace Hardware. We have over 2,300 square feet of books and other gift items.

We have a very nice regional section with books such as “Anatomy of a Murder” by John Voelker and “Yellow Snow Meltdown” by Joe Potila. Both authors are originally from the Upper Peninsula. We also have books about iron ore mining, the Edmund Fitzgerald, lighthouses, area attractions, and local humor.

If you have little ones, or are just young at heart, our large children’s section is just for you. Whether you like Dr. Seuss’s “Oh the Places You’ll Go” or Shel Silverstein’s “Where the Sidewalk Ends”, we have it all. From age 2-100, we have books for every age and preference!
