Snowmobiling Feature on the Resort

Snowmobile Report:
Date: 3/10/10

Trails are open and being groomed!

Warm weather and traffic has decimated the trails. Not much good news unless we get more snow and cool down again. Poor in most areas.

Snow Cover on Ground in Ishpeming: 12++
Snow Cover in Big Bay, Just to our NORTH: 12++

Note: The Moose Country Snowmobile club now has a groomer parked on site in the Country Village so our spur is always the first to be groomed when they go out/return. So you can literally see the groomer leaving to go groom the trails from our parking lot!

Area Grooming: The Moose Country snowmobile club does a majority of the Ishpeming area grooming. There are also several other clubs that maintain the other areas of the county such as Big Bay, Republic, Negaunee, etc... Trails are groomed on an as needed basis, so during busy times they are normally groomed at least once a day. During slower times, it may be every other day.

NEWS: Trails are excellent with more snow on the way!

2)You can head North from Ishpeming into Big Bay and then head either east into Marquette where you can try out the new trail looping back through Negaunee and then returning to Ishpeming.  Or head west from Big Bay towards the Lanse/Baraga area and then loop back around to Ishpeming.

3) Many other trips are popular for day rides. Check the current map for more info..
